Srikanth | KFC Hyderabad

31 year old Srikanth, was born with speech and hearing impairment in Vijayawada. He has an elder and younger sister. His father is a carpenter while his mother is a housewife.
While Srikanth was enrolled into Boys' Town ITI College his principal referred him to Youth4Jobs Foundation.
On completion of his training Srikanth was provided an opportunity to interview for the position of Customer Sales Executive in one of the world largest QSR Chains – KFC in Hyderabad. Srikanth breezed through the interview rounds going on to join KFC on 15 September 2010. Srikanth has not looked back since. His efficiency, dedication, performance and work ethics ensured that Srikanth was noticed by the management.
Srikanth began his career with KFC as a Customer Sales Executive, a position he held for a year before being moved to the front end as a cashier. He then moved to the Kitchen where he not only cooked the meals but also looked after inventory. His attention to detail led him to being promoted to Product Champion (Quality Checker) by his third year. During this time Srikanth was looking after the various functions of KFC which included Front end and Back end operations. A year later Srikanth was promoted to Shift Manager and then again promoted the following year to the position of Assistant Restaurant Manager with an annual salary of nearly Rs. 3 lakh.
Recently the Global Head of KFC on his visit to India especially visited Hyderabad to meet Srikanth, one of the first speech and hearing persons to be promoted to Assistant Restaurant Manager in such a short span of time out of all of KFC's global outlets.
Srikanth is now able to support not just his parents and siblings but also a family of his own. Srikanth got married when he was promoted to Product Champion and is a now a proud parent to a healthy 6 month old child. He lives in Hyderabad with his wife and child along with his parents and siblings. Srikanth exclaims that he has become extremely confident about himself ever since he joined KFC and is no longer dependent on others.
