Full story
Lulu Shah’s story is one of quiet courage and fierce independence. Born with 80% locomotor disability in both legs and abandoned at birth, she was later adopted and raised alongside two brothers. From the very start, the odds were stacked against her.
Rejected by regular schools because of her disability, Lulu was initially pushed into a candle-making course. But she refused to be defined by limitations. Determined to learn, she fought for admission into Banjara Public School and completed her 10th standard. To support herself, she taught tuition classes across all subjects, sharpening her communication and building confidence.

When her mother passed away, leaving everything to her brothers, Lulu was left without financial or emotional support. Her brothers refused help, forcing her to carve her own path.
Joining Youth4Jobs in Hyderabad changed everything. Though job interviews often ended in rejection due to her disability, Lulu persevered. With Youth4Jobs’ guidance, she landed a job as an entry-level employee with a JP Morgan vendor. Over the past seven successful years, she steadily rose through the ranks to become a Senior Executive, managing transport operations with an annual salary of ₹5,04,000. Today, she lives independently in her own one-bedroom flat, manages her finances, repays loans, and continues her education through open schooling.
Lulu’s journey shows how resilience and support can transform lives. “My life truly began after Youth4Jobs,” she says. Her story is a powerful reminder that with determination and opportunity, a better India is possible—where everyone can stand strong on their own feet.
